How to clean your kitchen more efficiently | Part 1

Cleaning your kitchen can be a major undertaking. With the our Kitchen Cleaning Tips series, you will be better able to clean your kitchen and save time doing it! So let's get on to the kitchen cleaning tips and tricks....

Work in a Circle
Starting with the right side of the stove, gradually clean in a clockwise pattern for the most efficient cleaning. By starting with your stove, often the filthiest part of the kitchen, you eliminate the spread of gunk, grime and grease from regular cooking.

Give Your Dishwasher Some Love
The workhorse of the kitchen, dishwashers, need a weekly cleaning to keep bacteria and smells at bay. Every week you should use some baking soda on a wet sponge to clean the nooks and crannies around the machine. This will help to break free any food or stains that have latched onto your washer. For dishwasher interiors, we recommend running an empty cycle with a good store bought cleaner like Dishwasher Magic to kill off bacteria, including dangerous E. coli.

Your Sink Needs Sanitizing
Whether we want to believe it or not, our kitchen sinks end up having more bacteria covering them than a toilet seat. The good news is there are all kinds of disinfectants that you can use, including homemade ones! If going with a store bought cleaner, make sure to get an EPA registered. Want to try a homemade cleaner? Try spraying your sink with vinegar and then following up with a spray of hydrogen peroxide. Allow to dry and voila, a freshly disinfected sink.

That is all for this round of cleaning tips, be sure to look out for the next one!
