How to Make a Natural Cleaner Infused with Grape Fruit

Unknown by many consumers, many cleaning products sold regularly on store shelves are ridden with toxic chemicals! Here a recipe to swap out on of your cleaner for a natural DIY kitchen cleaner, did I mention its antibacterial too?

What You'll Need:

•Approx. 2 cups white vinegar
•Glass canning jar
•The peel of 1 extra-large grapefruit
•Small spray bottle
•Grapefruit seed extract

First you'll want to peel the grapefruit, peel with caution and be sure to not leave any of the actual fruit, just use the pith and the outside of the peel. Failure to do so will result in your spray turning a little funky, due to possible mold growth from the actual fruit.
Put the vinegar in the glass canning jar and combine with the grapefruit peels. The step that goes along with this is going to take a while, about a week, place the jar in a cool dry area like a cupboard. After a few days, you will begin to notice a change in the vinegar, this is what you want.

After a week, strain the solution through a strainer and remove the grapefruit peels. Put the vinegar solution in a small spray bottle and combine with water and about 5 – 10 drops of the grapefruit seed extract depending on the size of the bottle.

Shake well before use, and enjoy! Safe for sinks, tubs, counters, tubs and other surfaces. However, you'll want to steer clear of using this cleaner on marble!
